You can hire one from Cycleways on Parnell St.

    Hi ya!!
    thanks for the prompt answer.
Could you tell me, if it is possible to get to Ballinastoe by bus?? or maybe somewhere nearby, so maybe some part of the way I'd be able to manage by the rented bike, not borrowed;))

Yes, it is, St Kevin's Bus Service goes right through Ballinastoe and as far as I know takes bikes (you might want to check that- I only say that as it is a coach which is the sort of bus that can take bikes, Dublin Bus will not take bikes for example.) Are you planning on going mountain biking there or something else?

O yeah! I've seen the web-side:www.madmtb.com and I've decided to take part in the National Trails Day & MADMTB Autumn beginners courses. I am walking on the hills a lot, but I have never cycled. I hope I'll manage;-)), but maybe is it to difficult for a girl;-(( Have you seen any girls, who do mountain biking there?

It's hard to tell the difference with all the mud and namby pamby safety gear (not sure who this reflects worse on, the guys or gals) :)

Don't be afraid to ask for advice on the MAD site, some of them are even helpful:

MTBing here is still pretty male dominated but there's a decent (and increasing) number of women doing it too.

Morgan- when do the autumn beginners courses start, do you know? I had been considering trying a bit of this myself but am a total newbie. Website seems to just mention the May courses.

Hi Morgan, thanks for the answer!
Now I won't be afraid of asking questions-;) I don't know, if I've missed something, but actually how can I enroll for the course?

Just turn up on the day. You can find full details here now:
    http://www.nationaltrailsday.ie/events_ww_mountainbikingintro.html

There's info on bike rental on that page too. Also, if you need a lift down just ask on the MAD forum and someone should be able to get you there.
