slow /bad drivers? ffs for the last 3 days on my way to work I've been stuck behind some tossers.... 1 was driving an 08 audi and was doing 40mph on the N25 for ten miles, wouldnt pull over, hugged the center line the whole way, even with a big rig up his ass flashing full beams at him and leaning on the horn (i was behind the big rig)... So my question can i pull up alongside said slow ass mofo's and blow out his tires with a 12 guage?

I f*cking hate sh*t drivers..... Some of my pet peeves are:

    -tailgating
-those c*nts that drive around everywhere with full beams and fog lights on, blinding everybody
    -not indicating on roundabouts

I can handle most other things, but these things make me want to stab someone.

Chill man. I think you need stiff drink.

I hate bad drivers too but I've never had the urge to stab them.

Tailgating omfg THE most stupidest thing to do on a road..
Full beams...Learn to use the switches ffs(how many drivers do you see driving without lights at night btw...)
How hard is it to move your hand and press a stalk/stick on the steering wheel..( that seriously annoys me).... ARGH!!!!! i need to go walk in the rain and calm down tbh...:(

I don't mind driving behind something that is designed to go slow, a tractor for example, they're going as fast as they can.

It really pisses me off though driving behind someone in a car doing 30mph on a main road.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,442 ✭✭✭Firetrap

They should be crushed in their cars. I've no love for boy racers either btw but slow drivers are every bit as dangerous in their own right.

U should get a better tricycle man.

    60 k and u couldnt pass?

i hate the pricks that wont pull up out of the way after they fill their car at the pump, leavin u wait while they go buy coffee and a quick read of the paper

single lane traffic with oncoming traffic.... bugger all you can do unless he pulls onto the hardshoulder.... and i was behind a big rig

My personal favourite is the asshole who, after you have indicated and made it obvious that you are parking, tries to squeeze past rather than give you the few seconds it takes to park. They don't even get that far, usually being stuck in traffic ten yards past you.
Apes is all they are, every one of them.

You must either have the patience of a saint or else not have driven enough.

or the people who speed up when you get a chance to pass them so they make it hard for you to pass them and slow back down when you can't pass them

40mph is a fair easy one to pass now..

even still, yes, please, shoot away!

This is why every new road should be dual carriageway. All N roads should be upgraded to dual carriageways also.

Anyone else notice that new cars' dipped headlights are actually set too bright? Oh, and they also have a stupid blue tint to them

OP, tbh, if you were tailgating someone, flashing your lights and beeping, I don't blame 'em for keeping slow, just to p!ss you off even more.

Remember, ALL other drivers are possible psychos...

    +1

and not just those who don't indicate on roundabout, but those who don't know the rules of indicating and indicate unneccessarily - like when they are going to the second exit, i.e straight through and they indicate right, as if they are taking the third exit! pfffffffffftttttttt or when they get in the wrong lane and then cut you off! it happens all the time at the M50 roundabout coming from finglas - they are going around the r/abt back towards lidl, you are coming from that direction and then onto m50. they are on your left, they dont indicate and then as you go through the exit they zoom in front of you heading right! bloody ignorant dangerous twats.

and also people who think the over taking lane is the 'fast' lane and sit in it for the whole journey, even more annoying when they aren't going the limit! morons

Which the majority of irish drivers don't seem to do.

nothing makes me madder. i've often wondered if every driver in the country suddenly learned the correct way to use and indicate at a roundabout, what effect it would have on traffic flow and tailbacks. prob cut them by 50% imo.

as is, it seems indicators are optional on most irish cars these days.

These days... at least these days some driver actually know that that sticky-out thingy is for, in the past it was a case of "well I always turn here! why should I indicate" while driving along using the radiator cap as a "sight"

You mean an articulated lorry, right? Truck being American..

(Besides, we tend to call 'em tractor-trailers or eighteen-wheelers around these parts). They may say "big rig" in other parts of the US though.

Could be worse. You should see what Americans do to roundabouts. (Called 'traffic circles' around here). Firstly, stop signs are de rigeur. Means that the whole point of not needing to stop if there's no traffic is sortof nullified. Worse, in some States (New Jersey, I believe is one of them), traffic coming onto the rounda...erm... traffic circle, has right of way. I would love to see how that works out at rush hour.

Driving Americans around a European roundabout is always entertaining.

That used to be the rule on continental Europe, until they adopted the "British Roundabout" rules.
I think that the only place it worked was on the roundabout at the Arc De Triumph in Paris, it's also the only place in France that has a special exclusion clause in you insurance cover (if you're French all accidents that happen there are deemed 50-50 regardless of what happened).

Ok... dude.... picture in your mind's eye....

Slow Driver... Big rig/ARTIC/ sry to me a lorry is smaller..... ME....

Its pretty obvious when a Big rig/ARTIC leans on the horn unless you're missing ear drums.... Also pretty easy to see the back of said 08 audi lit up like a christmas tree by the truckers headlights when we go round bends... not all roads are straight.... and no i ain't american... Just like call trucks Big rigs (sounds more masculine)...

btw kieranfitz... unfortunately it was from Youghal to Midleton... that Youghal to dungarvan road has some REALLY wide places to overtake on...

The crowd of drivers I hate are the cnuts who drive at circa 70km/hr regardless of where they are, be it the N7 Nenagh/Limerick, through a 50km zone or through a school playground. Go way to slow on the main road, then too fast through built up areas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,937 ✭✭✭ewj1978

yep my audi driver did that... 60kph through 50kph zones..actually maybe they had cruise control and just sat back...

Wait, that's wrong? I always add a couple to the sign...

I know someone who failed his drivers test in Waterford because he did 30 in a marked 30 zone on a big, wide, straight street where the normal flow of traffic was 45 or so. Failed for impeding the normal flow of traffic and failing to make good progress.
