The screen is set up on 3 artic containers wrapped in a sheet. Don't think the weather will go in their favour for a big crowd tonight.

Got the leaflet as well. Would have been handy if they said what movies they were showing!!!

The movie was Ratatouille (2007), wasnt seen it before..so it was good for me than. Pretty good family film. Screen was o.k. too even if was a little raining.

Great way how to spent evenings. Let see what comes to next weekend.

Was there a big crowd at it?

The was a big enough crowd at it actually. The rain kind of ruined it a bit but it was still good.

After the film there were quite a few cars that wouldn't start and needed a jump. We were lucky though, halfway through the film our battery died so we had to listen in to it from the radio of our friends car, the car started in the end without the need for a jump so it was all good.

For anyone interested, the next three films are Oceans 13, Seven and I am Legend.

cinema in Ash! about time... I hope it's going to be a permanent fixture if goes well???

It will be permanent but in a different sense. A proper 6 screen cinema .The reason for the drive in cinema was to celebrate the restarting of the work on the multiscreen cinema. The origional cinema , storm cinemas pulled out , hence the delay in the opening of the cinema.
Ashbourne retail park signed with a new cinema operator in july . Phase 2 has started , construction is well under way opeing in May '09 , a new 6 screen multiplex.
