How to sell an IT biz in Ireland

    Hi,

I am the onwer of an IT company created the last summer.
I am looking at selling the company in order to get it growing and move to the next step.

I am not really interrested in the VC way and I am more looking at an existing IT company who would like to extend their skills/customer base in the high-end consultancy area with top demands (Enterprise portals, security).

The company is perfectly sound, has not debt, no asset (100% service) and 2 employees only (the directors/owners).

We work on high-end IT projects only for many Irish organisations, including several major governemental agencies.

We also have a software in the making that is going to go a on live Beta in September.

Anyway, I can't really find a proper and discret way to advertise that my company is for sale and if anyone here has such experience, I would really appreciate if you could point me out to the right direction.

I found some specialised websites from Google searches, but they look un-professional/dodgy...Maybe a wrong feeling, I do not know.

    Thank you in advance

    Cara

You could ask your existing suppliers and customers if they want to buy it and then employ you directly.

Realistically, no one else would be interesting in buying such a small company, where the shareholders are the key people. If you sell and then leave, what will the company be worth?

If you are launching a software product, that changes things. You really need investment for future development and marketing.
