I am heading over to london next week to go and see a few shows in the west end, looking for reasonable accomodation in that area?

i've been on a few sites but so many hotels and i'm not sure where some of them are..has anyone stayed in a central hotel they would recommend?
    thanks..

well the travelodge covent garden is on drury lane and very handy for the west end but it's not exactly lovely, it's okay and it can depend if you're in the new part or the old but it's cheap enough and very handy.

also use this site for finding out how to get to and from places in london it's the transport for london journey planner

I stayed in the Guoman Charing Cross 2 weeks ago. It's really lovely, so central. Highly recommend it.

IBIS in Euston is decent and in a good location.

10-15 mins walk from Picadilly area.

    Depends how cheap you want?

I stayed in The Hilton in Paddington for 80 euro a night
