Entrance Scholarships

    Hi there.
    Just wonderin......
    is it necessary to have gotten 600pts to get the €2000 euro entrance scholarship?:pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::p

    No, minimum entry points is 570. However, there's only sixty up for grabs so there's no guarantee you'll get it.

    I got 570 and so did another guy on my course. He got an entrance scholarship, I didn't :( Luck of the draw comes into it.

    No it depends on what course you are doing!!Each faculty gives out a certain amount so if you are among the top in your faculty you will get one!I think there was 15 per faculty but not too sure there could be more now!

    Ah OK didn't know it was done by faculty. Still, luck comes into it since we got the same points and I missed out.
    (Luckily I got a Govt. one that's over 6000 a year! :D:D)

    Physics & Astrophysics, which was 420 last year. Going into 2nd year next month.
    I don't think the number of points needed for the course would have much effect on your chances of getting the scholarship. But good luck anyway! :)
