What is a summerboard?

    Can anyone tell me what a summerboard is? I recently got an iphone and i see alot of third party applications to do with summerboards. Just wondering what they were?

    The main screen on your iPhone (the Desktop to compare it to the Windows world...) is called the spingboard. Summerboard is a third party variation of the spingboard, which includes many customizable themes - these theme packs are probably what you are seeing in Installer.app lists.
