After the stealth thread, just been having a look at the BC Rich range. I see that thomann have a few 'master euro' guitars.

What's the story with this series of bc riches? I can't seem to find any decent information on them. They're more expensive than NJ series, have cheaper pickups (rockfield mafias) and have a few cosmetic changes.

I've never been up on my BC Riches, this just confused me a bit

Ok, thanks to a lot of dossing in work, it seems that the euro master series is the same as the Calibre line on the BC Rich website. It seems that they're made in Europe (can't find out what country) and that's the major difference.

The NJ series looks like you get more bang for your buck though. Where are NJ's made? BC Rich aren't big on the details but I suppose Japan/Korea/China?

Also, how sexy is the NJ Deluxe Warlock:

And for anyone interested, this place seems to be cheaper than Thomann and other UK suppliers for the BC range: http://www.giggear.co.uk/home/index.php?m=shop&catid=233&orderby=3

The stealth is €649 compared to €880 on Thomann.

The NJ's are Japanese made Vim, I think it stands for Nagoya, Japan.
I have fond memories of a friends big brothers electric blue Warlock from the early '90s. That was a cracking guitar. They're the only 'pointy metal type' guitars I ever really gassed for. I used to borrow it and his Marshall Valvestate for our wee punk bands gigs and get disapproving looks from everyone!! It sure sounded the business though. Ah, those were the days...

NJ no longer stands for Nagoya, Japan. It did several years ago, but current NJ's are made in Korea.

Still, this recent batchs of NJs is getting good reviews. Slightly GASing for the one above. I agree with you boycey, the warlock is the only pointy beast I could see myself owning.

After further research, turns out the calibre line is made in the Czech Republic. It's weird that they don't have a standard line of US-made guitars.

They do, but they're made in the custom shop and from about $3K upwards.

The euro line are made in europe as far as i know and are the top o the line in terms of build quality you can get without forking out for a U.S. model. May have cheaper pups but the difference in build would outweigh this id wager. I am saying this from the top of my head though so i might not be 10000% right here.

O and that new warlock is teh sex!!!! Shame about the floyd rose.
