    Buses every 15 mins

Every 15 mins is a lie. You can't rely on the bus timetable at all so don't even bother. If its raining, you'll get drenched waiting anyways so you might as well walk. Its about 30 mins alright into town which isn't bad.

Every 15 mins would be about right given that there are several bus's going that direction. Ballybane, Mervue, Lisbeg lawn, Renmore, Castlepark and Merlin Park Buses all go out that direction. Renmore is a little walk from Duggans (5mins but better than having to walk the whole way out). Castlepark is longer as its on its return journey that it passes near GMIT.

Walking from town is 25mins at a quick pace and up to 40 mins if walked slowly. It depends on the fitness level and the pace of the walk. Its also depends on the route. When walking out during the day and particularly if in company then the route out along the railway line is the quickest. Female walkers may not like this walk when alone and its not advisable to walk it at night. Also at night girls would be best advised to walk to the roundabout at Moneenageisha rather than taking the shortcut at the back of it. This shortcut is fine when in a group or during the daytime.

I know thats whats listed but they never follow the timetable. Especially around 5-6 in the day when the traffic builds up.

Agree everything gets held up at that time. Still its usually nice enough to walk and if its not a bus will come eventually. Just wanted to make whoever is reading this thread that there is a choice of buses and they all go towards GMIT.
