Hi folks... I had an interview today and I've just been told that I've got and aptitude test tomorrow.. basically should I wear the full suit again for the test or just go in in casual wear as its not actually an interview... Its for a production job btw..

Personally I would just go casual (not shorts and football jersey casual though) if it's an aptitude test.

if it was me then i would be wearing a suit. but i would wear a suit at all stages of an interview. dressing casually just looks lazy. and you never know who you might meet. they could decide to bring you up for a chat after the test and it could be with your future Manager or Director or HR etc so you want to look your best. when it comes to interviews it is always best to be prepared for anything.

    good luck with it.

I would tend to agree with board om, it is usually better to be over dressed than under dressed. Perhaps if the rest of the people at the office were dressed extremely casually, it might be okay, but I think it would still look kind of sloppy.

Better to be overdressed than underdressed. Where the suit, if your overdressed remove the jacked, tie and unbutton the shirt. Also remember your calculator, pencil, eraser ruler. These sometimes come in handy to have.

definatly wear a suit. I was at an aptitude test a few months ago. There were 4 other people doing it. We were all in suits bar one guy who came in jeans and a shirt....looked really bad, especially when some bigwig from HR came in to see how we were all getting on!

    Suit all the way!

Ok had the test... wore the suit..3 others at it two in suits and one in slacks and shirt...He looked out of place... The test consisted of Numeric, Verbal and logic( getting different colour circles and dependent on position determining if switches were up and down..)
Anyway Glad I wore the suit or else would have felt a complete spanner..
