When I was offered my masters course I was asked for a 500e deposit, which I duly paid. at the time I was most concerned about guaranteeing my place, and forgot to ask what that money goes towards. Is it part of my fees? will it be refunded to me when I show receipt of a grant? Any ideas? Thanks.

The deposit is part of your postgraduate fees. I've also paid a deposit of €500 to secure my place in a Masters course.

You will have to ask if the deposit will be refunded on the basis of grant eligibility.
