Same as the DS thread started a few days ago.

Wii Sports: We all have this, I love the tennis and the golf, I find the boxing a bit random.

Mario Galaxy: This was the sole reason I bought a Wii and it has lived up to my every expectation, tight controls, beautiful visuals astounding level design and a huge, huge challenge. I have many stars left to collect.

Mario Kart: More great stuff, requires no explanation, Single player is good enough to keep you at it, Multi player is as good as it ever was and the online is top class, doesn't reinvent the wheel but the bikes and new cars are all worthwhile additions as are most of the new tracks, The majorty of the retro tracks are welcome returns aswell.

I bought my Wii second hand and it came with Wii Play and Ravin Rabids, Wii play was beyond pointless, nothing held my attention for more than 60 seconds, Ravin Rabids was well put together but defoinately one for the younger gamer. Both were traded in rapidly.

On the VC I've Mega Man 2 and Zelda LttP. MM2 is even better than I remember although still pretty darn tough and I never got far in Zelda when I was a kid so I am very excited to get my teeth into it.

A mate gave me a load of Game Cube games a while back, some great titles too.

What am I looking forward to? Boom Blox is top of the list once I get through some of my backlog, after that? I might just wait for Wii Music 2.

    Well Currently own

Mario Kart. Only really ever play it online when I have someone over. It's fun but I don't find myself drawn to sit down and play it on my own.

Mario Strikers: I loved this when it came out and still think it's a great game. I dip back into it every now and then for a bit of craic.

No More Heroes: Played to death and completed fully. Great game. It's now high on my trade in list

Bully: Loved the controls and found it good fun til I got GTA 4. Hard to go back to it now. Up for trade in soon.

Resident Evil 4: Great game loved it but it's on the "to be traded in" list now.

Wii Fit: It's interesting. Needs some real games to come out and make the Balance Board worth having. I'm waiting to see on this one.

I've played and gotten rid of all the big titles and the ones I really liked were Red Steel, Mario Galaxy, Metroid 3, Zelda

I think the horizon is fairly barren at the moment. Not much I'm really dying for. I think Madworld looks like it could be brilliant. Have been meaning to give Zack and Wiki a go, and Scarface. Been hearing good things about boom blox as well.

Have a huge back catalogue of Gamecube games that I lent to a friend and must get back and go through.

MarioKart - Won Gold in all races and since then have not done much to try and beat the Ghost times, great 4 player game and online is very testing at times. Still play occasionally.

MarioGalaxy - Still playing have about 85 Stars - find I dip in and out of it depending on how busy I am or if I have football etc because it is a great way to kill a few hours.

Zelda - Still playing this alos, as above great game but get caught up in it for a while, then leave it for a couple of weeks. Still really enjoying it.

ProEvo - Best Soccer game I have ever played ... FULL STOP! Controls are so intuitive, by far the most control you will ever over a football game until the next instalment. If you like football games - GET IT. You will not be disappointed.

WiiSports - Dont really play anymore, Bowling the oddtime is good fun

SuperSmashBros. - It's alright, playing it just to get it completed, I like the "Mario Factor" to it but my non-Nintendo friends just dont seem to grasp the whole aura around it. It is good fun all the same and I enjoy playing it.

Simpsons - Dont really like it, bit samey

WarioWare Smooth Moves - Get it, its brilliant! Anyone can pick it up and enjoy it straight away. It is absolutely ridiculous but it is so entertaining once people get the hang of it.

Ghost Squad - haven't played it yet, still in plastic wrap 5 months after buying...
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - Essential game, but I never got around to beating the final boss :(
NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams - Haven't played it yet
No More Heroes - Decent enough, might go back to it soon...
Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition - ESSENTIAL!
Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles - "meh"
Sonic and the Secret Rings - decent enough
    Super Mario Galaxy - ESSENTIAL!!
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - never really gave it a chance, and haven't played MP yet...
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - ESSENTIAL!
WarioWare: Smooth Moves - < 3 hours gameplay for €45... Not the best value for money ever! (less than 3 hours, not heart hours!!!)

Wii Play and Wii Sports = MEH!

    Wii Sports (duh)
    Wii Fit - good fun
Harvest Moon - can easily spend 4 to 6 hours playing
    Bully - Haven't played yet
Trauma Centre - haven't played yet
TV King - grand for some mindless fun
My life as King - only played a little bit so far

    I have...
Wii Fit - haven't done much with this during the summer when I can actually get out and exercise but I'm sure I'll some back out soon.
Mario Kart - always good fun and the kids love it too.
Tiger Woods 08 - I prefer playing it on the Playstation to be honest but it's OK.
Resident Evil IV - very good game but since I finished it I traded it in.
Smackdown Vs Raw - Again not as good as the playstation so has been traded in too.
Fifa 08 - not too bad - playstation is better but Wii version has some good mini games included.
Wii Sports - I come back to this every now and then.
Big Beach Sports - pretty poor to be honest but I got it cheap so can't complain - kinda up there with Wii Play.
Super Smash Bros Brawl - havent played that yet.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympics - not too bad in multi player mode but doesn't really do much for me on my own.

No idea what's on my Christmas list yet.....hoping for some good titles

Just off the top of my head:

Twilight Princess: It didn't do anything special and felt like a rehash of Ocarina of Time but still an excellent game to play.
Red Steel: Decent enough FPS let down by dodgy sniper controls, poor graphics and framerate problems. Fun but by no means brilliant.
Call of Duty 3: Real rush job, loads of control problems but okay.
Super Mario Galaxy: Absolutely superb. Only complaint is that it's too easy, I finished it in 3 days but it was 3 days of non stop gaming bliss. Really want to go back and finish it again.
No More Heroes: For some reason I haven't finished this despite absolutely loving it. Control system is genius, it looks great and has sone excellent goofy laugh out loud moments. Pretty much essential.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl: Pretty much a polishing of the perfection of melee. Love this game. Hours of gameplay for the solo gamer and infinite replay in multiplayer.
Mario Kart: Really like the new control system but I don't think it's a big leap ahead of double dash. Fun but frustrating in the later difficulty levels. Multiplayer is great as always.
Wii Sports: wouldn't play it by myself but it always gets broken out for the wii parties.
Wii Play: Pretty much awful. It never even gets broken out for multiplayer.
Metroid Prime 3: Really liked this and the control system was great. However for me it's the worst of the trilogy. I found it a lot more linear compared to the previous games and the sense of isolation has been removed somewhat.

Got Tiger Woods 09 today but too early to tell. Initial impressions are excellent.

Trauma Centre, Zak and Wiki, Boom Blox and Super Paper Mario have somehow managed to avoid being picked up but are on my to get list.

Check out Star Wars: Force Unleashed

    Here and Here

Graphics look good and motion control "Force" and Lightsabre, one for the list perhaps.

Yea the force unleashed looks like a good one alright. I played the demo on the 360 and I enjoyed it so I'll definitely be picking it up unless the reviews come in and thrash it. Still undecided on whether to get it on the 360 or the Wii though.

Need to know that the Wii Controls are gonna be more Metroid 3 than Call Of Duty 3 before committing to it on the wii.

    Have:
Wii Sports - Fun when friends/relatives who don't have a Wii themselves are around. Nice to have a laugh and all that.
    Wii Fit - Love it.
Harvest Moon: Magical Melody - Played it a lot as I thought it was great to be rid of the cuddling/scrubbing motions that destroyed my first DS. Now I only get frustrated as I consider Tree of Tranquility to be far superior and cannot get it! Aarrgh!
PDC World Championships Darts 2008 - I find it sooo difficult to get the motions right, I just cannot figure out how to properly do it, so it's always hit and miss. Not really my idea of fun.
Zack and Wiki - Really neat! Enjoyed this a lot!
Mario at the Olympics - Some parts are fantastic, others arbitrarily difficult. I'm in two minds about it.

    Want:
Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility - WANT WANT WANT! :(
Zelda - That is a tough one. I quite like the DS version, but I generally dislike games that require me to be ultrafast in order not to die/lose a life during fights, so I haven't made my mind up yet. Might get it if I see a cheap copy...
Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked - Very much looking forward to that one as I am a huge fan of it on the DS.
Generally, I like adventure-style games or some simulation/RPG without a focus on fighting and am always on the lookout for those. I think the Wii is a great platform for that, so I am a bit sad that there isn't more of that. I realise there are a few adventures out, but they are generally Wii-versions of PC-games which I have already played.

It will be down to how good the controls are, the 360 version is much stronger visually. I really like the idea of being able to pick enemies up and toss them away with a flick of the nunchuk, hopefully they will have figured it out.

Get it, it's about as easy as falling out of bed in the morning.

Strangely I find that to be the hardest part of my day 90% of the time.

I got Boom Blox last weekend. Pretty cool game best 1player game I've gotten for the Wii so far. Again as with most Wii games I've played excellent multiplayer fun.

Also got Warioware, not nearly as good slow start, the stories are annoying but another great multiplayer game. Don't think I'll be playing it much on me own but still it was 2nd hand €25 can't go far wrong.

I still have a bee in me bonnet to get pro evo, don't know why don't even like soccer all that much.

Well I picked up the Force Unleashed and Tiger Woods 09 there a week or so ago. Force Unleashed starts off good then as your Force powers improve it gets an awful lot better. It's great fun. Haven't finished it yet so would be dubious about the replay value.

Tiger woods is good solid golf fun. They have the swing pretty much nailed which is a big thing. Still find the putting frustrating at times but improving each time I play it.

I had both those games in my hand, almost bought the star wars one thinking it would finally be a game with a good single player side to it.

Is tiger woods allot better than Wii sports golf? That game was frustrating trying to get him to swing and eventually hitting the ball just as you've given up.

Da Blod looks kinda cool, New Pikmin could be interesting, also the release of classic GC games on Wii with some adaptation for the controller may make my dream come true, that is Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime Echoes on the Wii, with the brilliant Metroid Prime Corruption controls, please please please!

As a lifelong Nintendo fan, it's tough for me to say, but there is nothing on the horizon that even vaugely interests me.

    I own:

Super Mario Galaxy - Not bad. I played on and off for about 6 months. Recently finished it. Got about 95 or so stars. Dont know if ill bother getting the rest. I enjoyed it but no way do i agree its the best wii game out.

Zelda - Great game, lasted for months. It was my first Zelda game so i really enjoyed it.

Metroid 3 - Good game. Great controls. I got to the last boss but gave up. Some sections were brilliant, others were ok.

Zack and Wiki - Bought but unplayed.

Guitar Hero 3 - Not bad.

No more Heroes - Hated it. Havn't got rid of it yet.

Pro Evo 2008 - Best game on the Wii in my opinion. Great controls. I just cannot go back to the old style of playing footy games now.

Mario Kart - Played a little. Its fun online. Havn't played much single player.

    Wii sports - Loved it.

Madden 07 - Not great really

Tiger Woods 07 - Terrible controls.

Trauma Centre - Nice concept but damn! Way too hard!

Call of Duty 3 - Good game. There are some points in the game where the controls go crazy but if you manage to get past them its great every where else.

Wii play - The absolute worst game i've ever played! I know you get a controller with it but its not worth the 5 euro, really. Knowing what i know now, nintendo couldn't even pay me to take that useless DVD off them!

    On the VC:

Super Mario World - Fantastic. Never had a SNES but always played at my friends house.

Zelda LTTP - Havn't played it yet.

Street Fighter 2 Turbo - Great!

Zelda Orcania of time - Not played yet.

Streets Of Rage 1 - Brings back memories, great.

Streets of Rage 2 - Never played on my megadrive back in the day. Actually i havn't played much of it yet either.

    Hoping to get:

Tiger Woods 09 - I would love a good golf game for the Wii. Perfect place for it.

Pro Evo 09 - Hoping for smoother online.

Lost Winds - Must give this ago.

Super Metroid - Will have to play this at some stage if im going to call myself a gaming fan!

Not looking forward to much else really. The lineup over the next few months looks pathetic.
