    hi all

i've just been accepted to do Primary Teaching in St.Pats but unfort it was three years ago when i did my Leaving Cert and although i was good at irish then - my gaeilge has faded a bit....really want to use the next month to brush up as most other students will be straight from their Leaving Cert and it will be fresh in their minds you know??
does anyone have any tips on the best way to do this....books i could buy/cds?anything like that??

Turas Teanga from RTE is quite good.
The series includes 2 books, CD's & there's also a DVD as it was a series on RTE a few years ago.
There's Teach Yourself Irish, again a book & cds.
Apart from that, watch TG4 & listen to RNaG as often as you can.
There's a free printable newspaper, La Nua I think it's called, online, try reading some articles from it as often as you can.
There's a subsection of After Hours here for conversations in Irish. You could pop your head in there to try & string a few sentences along.
If your based in Dublin, there are lots of courses available for you to do. Gaelchultur & Conradh na Gaeilge, or try & find a conversation group close by. I believe there's an Irish speaking cafe in Dublin also, that you might want to try.

As you can see, there are lots & lots of resources if you want to make the effort.
It'll come back to you pretty easily.

Congrats on getting the place on the course.

Buy the book Coir Gaoithe from Marino. It's super good. Pat's library probably have it.
