I have always been a fan of James Woods. The Onion Field and Once Upon a time in America would be his two best movies imo. Diggstown, known over here as Midnight Sting was enjoyable for anyone who has not seen it. I don't think I've seen any movie with him in it for a long time, probably Any Given Sunday was the last one that I seen him in.

Could anybody give me some recommendations for any movie he has made in the last couple of years? I checked out wiki and seen some names but I don't want to go through a lot of rubbish to find one good one.

Yeah I haven't seen him in anything in ages. He's been busy doing some tv series. Terrific actor though. My favourite role of his is probably Salvador. I suspect he has trouble getting supporting roles anymore due to his tendency to steel the whole film (e.g. The Specialist). He needs to do something with Stone or Scorsese again.

He hasn't really been in much lately except for Shark, but he's still excellent in that. I really hope he gets something good soon (like Sad Professor said, another Stone or Scorsese film would be fantsstic).

My fav scene in almost any film is with James woods and Al Pacino in any given sunday
just before james woods is fired they have a long drawn out argument

He's a class actor, truly never bad in any film i've seen him in.

Have to agree with previous poster, Lester in Casino, brilliant! What a low-life! Or the cameo in The Simpsons, interaction with Jimbo in the Kwik-E Mart:

James Woods: "Okay, Okay... I'm me..."
    Jimbo: "You're you...?"
James Woods: " Just DON'T jerk me around buddy"

    :)

"Well Mr. Woods, your next song is gonna be 7-11, with a bullet!"
    "Actually im not a singer.."
    "Shut up!"

It's an old one but Ghosts of Mississippi was brilliant.

He was in one with Clint Eastwood were he was Eastwood's boss, which I remember being good. Can anyone name that movie?

I love him in Midnight Sting

Is Midnight sting the boxing film he was in where he was a con man? I loved that film.

James woods: Now I must travel to a distant world to fight aliens
Marge Simpson: That sounds like a good movie
James woods yes yes... a movie

    Love the guy.
His cameo in The Simpsons is sublime.
Love the Kwik-E mart bit as well- the way he researches "the role" of store clerk on the CCTV tapes and his crazy tough-guy approach to Jimbo Jones.

Love the bit at the end that goes something like-

JW- "Now, i'm off to battle aliens from a distant galaxy".
Marge- "Oh Mr. Woods, a new movie you're doing?"
JW- "Yes, yes, a movie..." *shifty look*
    Priceless cameo.

Edit: ziedth got there before me. :)

Also i remember an interesting flick he was in a few years ago with him as a reasonable suburbanite on the verge of madness opposite Randy Quaid's boorish "neighbour from hell".
    He always plays interesting characters.

Ya he was also In a comedy/action with another of my fav actors Michael J Fox the name escapes me but It was also very good, also as mentioned another day in paradise is class. The only questionable choice I can think of is that film Vampires, Even that wasn't that bad in fairness
