help with dvd recorder problem

hi guys, i have a panasonic dvd recorder, great job for videoing things and it records fine and playbacks fine, but when i record something for someone else and give them the dvd it appears as blank on their players? I record lot of sport and its quite annoying i can't play them back on anything except my own dvd recorder.…

I record lot of sport and its quite annoying i can't play them back on anything except my own dvd recorder. Any ideas whats up? Some setting i can change?

Are you using DVD-RAM discs by any chance?

Otherwise, you're not finalising the discs, prior to giving them away. Discs need to be finalised to work in other players.
