help please with dvd recorder

hi guys, i have a panasonic dvd recorder, great job for videoing things and it records fine and playbacks fine, but when i record something for someone else and give them the dvd it appears as blank on their players? I record lot of sport and its quite annoying i can't play them back on anything except my own dvd recorder.…

I record lot of sport and its quite annoying i can't play them back on anything except my own dvd recorder. Any ideas whats up? Some setting i can change?

Only 2 things i can think of is that: A) you haven't finalised the disc and: B)You record in format DVD- or DVD+ and the player doesn't support the format you used.

Check after recording if there is an option to finalise the disc.
