Having been on for a while so im suprised to see no Olympic Triathlon Posts,

I have to say what happened to Gomez the guy has no sprint in him!! I don't even think he tried, he should be at least able to kick somewhat to the line, he's an awesome runner, but if he knew he had no sprint, why didn't he up the pace on the run and try and loose Docherty, Whitfield and Frodeno sooner ?

And the womens race, ouch at Lauren Groves breaking her elbow, poor girl. Emma Snowsill had one hell of a run, she was like a daemon, nobody was going to run her down.

What happened to Emma Davis too, i was disappointed not to see her up with the main pack at transition, i thought she was a better swimmer. Plus if she putted a hard effort on the swim leg, she could recover from it on the bike. But fair play to her for battling on.

I felt bad for Gomez alright, he was beaten in a sprint by a German lad at the worlds last year and obviously hasnt been able to improve it much since. I'm sure he would've pushed on earlier for home if he had anything left but the conditions realy would've taken it out of him and seems to take alot out more out of some people than others.

Swimming is always a bit of a lottery unfortunately, you get on the feet of the wrong people and before you know it there can be a big gap between you and the lead pack. I didnt see all of Emma's race but i hear she had to do alot of work on her own. Thats the problem with draft races. Fair play to her though she gave it a shot and should be much improved in London.
