Hi, I am a student and I also want to find a part time data entry job that I can do from home. I have googled it and looked on craigslist and places like that and found a few websites but none seem to be based in Ireland and they all require a joining fee. It says the fee (usually about $50) is so you can have access to the database and the online tutorials but I'm a bit sceptical.

Does anyone know if these jobs are legit or are they just big scams??

they are mostly scams. pretty much any 'work from home' business that require you to pay money up front are scams. its like the old 'work from home stuffing envelopes scam'. you pay a fee and in return they give you access to a database. but what really happens is you pay them a fee and then they just send you a list of companies thet 'might' be looking for looking for people to stuff envelopes. they dont actually give you a job or anything like that, they just send you a list of companies that you can call and offer your services to. so basically you pay them $50 (or somerthing similiar) and they send you a list of comapnies out of the Golden Pages.

bottom line is if they want money up front then stay away from them.

    all the best
