I'm submitting my thesis on Friday week.

At the moment I have the main body and some appendices in one large document. This is currently around 40 pages or so. In another file I have (i)-(vii) declaration, ethics, acknowledgments etc. I was considering lumping everything together but I'm not sure that will work cleanly.

I can mess around with page breaks fairly easily but section breaks are something I'm less sure of.

My appendices will probably be quite long A-H which includes 27 transcripts averaging around 5 pages each. I can create separate PDFs for the preliminaries and main body but 2 of the appendices are landscape rather than portrait on page setup. I've also had to reduce the scale of the these to squeeze all the columns/rows in. I was playing around with section breaks and in the end Word spat out pages 1-40 as PDF1 and the appendices as a PDF2.

Anyway, I'm wondering if there's an easy way of managing all of this to avoid last minute fights with technology! Word was being a bit arsey and the college printers didn't recognise the job attributes of appendices F & G probably because of the reduced scale but once I converted said docs to PDF they printed fine.

Mods, feel free to move this. I'm working on Mac but will be printing from a W*****s machine.
