Importing CSV into phpmyadmin

Ok i have a CSV file which is formatted as such:

"zip code", "state abbreviation", "latitude", "longitude", "city", "state"

so when i go to import it i set the options as
fields terminated by ','
enclosed by '"'
fields escaped by '\'
lines terminated by 'auto'

but when i browse my table all the information is enclosed in quotation marks which i dont want, any idea how i can sort this?
