    Well it's been known for ages that a cup a day has quite a few benefits. I wouldn't put total faith in the claims in the article though, especially as most of them only have one source to back them up.

    I've read several reports over the benefits of coffee. This is worth a look.

    Depending on who you believe, it increases the risks of stroke or is protective against heart disease. Or it could be both. My advice would be to take science news presented in the mainstream press with a pinch of salt. Which may or may not raise your blood pressure.

    General diet rules for humans are a tricky business anyway, we're such a highly variable bunch that it's very hard to generalise. Dumbed down science is not a good place to start in making decisions about your health.
