I've got a ticket for their show in Dublin. They played Andrews Lane a few months ago which was meant to have been alrite.
Not sure how well her "sound" will translate live.

Have they got any new material or is it all from the first album?

I like these guys a lot, my sister dropped the recommendation. 'Crimewave' is a great tune...

I saw them in Cyprus Avenue in Cork, liked their album but I have to say they left me quite underwhelmed. After paying over a tenner for a band you'd think they'd play a longer set than about 6 songs?

anybody seen them live? i hear they're unreal.

I heard they weren't great and play very short sets.

We wont find out if we got tickets until the 16th of Sept.
Seems like there is alot of interest in this gig compared to the past ones so it could be hard enough getting tickets. Also Cuba isn't that big.

I really like this band! At first I was a bit distant, Love and Caring reminded me of one of those Screamo bands! :D
Hopefully I'll get a ticket for Galway, a free gig for an up & coming band sounds brill! Apparently ticket selection depends on how active you are on the site so get posting!

Finally a decent gig in Galway during the college year! How do these things work, do you get 2 tickets if your name comes up in the draw?

I hadn't really heard of these and then I saw them at the Picnic. Had an absolute blast and I'll definitely be checking out their albums.

Saw them in the roisin in galway last year, tiny crowd, give or take twenty people. Most of the crowd were pissed off cos the set was about twenty ish minutes long, the norm is between 25-35 mins i believe.

She just goes mental screaming and jumping around the place, which i imagine worked quite well at the picnic this year, was pretty funny in this venue as many people just werent up for it..they are everyone's new favourite band right now so it will be great

Saw them in Glasgow a few months back and was left underwhelmed. I quite like the album but we ended up just standing at the back for the 35 minute long gig and feeling old. The audience was pretty much extras from Skins and at 24 my girlfriend was feeling old amongst them.

    really loving the self-titled album.

    can't wait to see them.

saw them in Andrews Lane back in.... April I think it was?

Was pretty mental now in fairness with the lighting effects etc. All the lights in the venue were flashing on and off which gave this cool effect of Alice Glass appearing as a snapshot every few seconds. Was pretty cool.

I'm not really a fan of the band but got dragged along never the less. My m8s (who ARE fans) thought it was amazing, although it didn't translate as well live! Sound was poor.

    Gig changed to 2nd Oct.

Dublin gig must be either off or changed.

They canceled their Belfast gig that was meant to be on the 2nd of October. Dublin gig on the 1st of October is still on. Galway gig is on as well but it's now on the 2nd instead of the 30th of September.

I'm going to the Dublin gig too. Got there album a while back it definitely grows on you. Its not really a sound I've heard before so it will be interesting on the live stage. They played at EP (but I missed them because Underworld were so amazing and I couldn't leave) and a mate who saw them said she crowd surfed for the entire gig....
    Men.tal.

The audience was pretty much extras from Skins and at 24 my girlfriend was feeling old amongst them.

Damn this anyhoo, I'm 31 and while I don't think I look like a 'Skins'ite character I hate the whole clickie thing of trying to look different but all looking the same. I saw Foals last year and it was exactly the same crowd because they flippin had their song on one of the episodes.
Maybe I'm just musical tastebuds are too immature:eek:

I've seen them twice before and I've tickets for both gigs, and I'm not a Skins extra. :P

What a gig! Alice Glass is my new hero, she's f*ckin loopers bohy

    Unbelievable gig.

Was at the front and held hands with Alice sigh:

Amazing energy. And Cuba was the perfect venue for them with the low ceiling, darkness and brilliant sound.

    Still walking on air..

Cuba for this... wow bet it was deadly

Thought the Dublin gig was brill but I was only getting into it when they just stopped dead and it finished. I guess they played for just under an hour. Felt a bit cheated to be honest.
I think the folks at the front might have been tired of carrying her around the place for an hour that no one seemed to mind when it was over. :pac:

They played for nearly an hour? They must have written some new songs or something!

Great Gig (Dublin) - she's an absolute lunatic. While the whole shouting thing gets tiring, haven't seen someone with that energy in a while. Was the one under her when she jumped/cannonballed into the crowd at the end (and subsequently fell on the floor).

They've been doing a few remixes around the place, so I think they threw in a few of those (Can't remember tbh)

Galway gig was so much better than the Dublin one. Much better atmosphere I thought.
