Title says it all really... Who'll win this years motogp crown?

    Has Stoner lost the plot?
    Is Rossi an unstoppable machine?
    Can Lorzeno finish a race?
Will Michelin put full wets on a dry track?
    Is eurosport the best?

    so many questions......

Rossi's block on the corkscrew in laguna seca decides the whole outcome to the season for me.
Without doubt, Stoner is a genius....on a Ducati.
He's just no Rossi, but that still doesn't mean he won't push Rossi all the way.
When Lorenzo comes of age, he will win races;WC's,I don't think so.
Not too well up on the tyre scene.
Eurosport beats RTE hands down, I enjoy their coverage.

yeah loved that Laguna seca race..Most exciting thing I've seen since Max biaggi and valentino went at it a few years ago.. The tyre thing is basically that michelin have given their teams the wrong tyre choice for the last few races which is why the likes of Pedrosa et al havent been anywhere.

Rossi's experience should see him out.

    Rossi should win it.

    Has Stoner lost the plot?
His rant about Rossi after Laguna was immature but was leading the pace at Brno. He has an uphill task for the remainder of the season but is very quick on that ducati.

    Is Rossi an unstoppable machine?
The Ducati is probably the best bike but Rossi extracts 110% out of the yamaha. He's good at the mind games too.

    Can Lorzeno finish a race?
Didn't particularly like his 250 "attitude", seems to have the talent when he get his head together !!!???

Will Michelin put full wets on a dry track?
Lost the plot this season but will come back I'm sure once Moto GP doesn't go to a single make formula.

    Is eurosport the best?
Comparing it with the current coverage there's no competition. The BBC would have to raise their game significantly to match eurosports offering.

Hmmm, let's have a go here!

    Has Stoner lost the plot?

He's let Rossi inside his head. You saw what happened to Gibernau when this happened. Rossi didn't have a chance to put the wind up him last year so stoner was completely untroubled. This year he's making excuses and crapping on about rossi's "harsh" manoeuvres. His latest excuse was something like "the setup made me lean the bike over too much" when it should have been "I couldn't romp away from Rossi like I could last season so I overcooked it"

    Is Rossi an unstoppable machine?

If he finishes second in the remaining of the races he's got it. Granted Rossi's not above binning it but it's a fairly safe bet.

    Can Lorzeno finish a race?

Hmmm, he'll take a while to get his confidence back. You could see this coming a mile off. He was egged on by the media as the second coming after winning two 250 champs. A motogp bike is not a 250, try to ride it like one and you're gonna show up on a radar somewhere. he was too cocky and paid for it. He'll have to exercise some restraint and ignore the media. Dovi is a better prospect imo

Will Michelin put full wets on a dry track?

If you look at the history of the sport you'll see michelin have dominated it for the most part. This could just be a blip. Having said that bridgestone have essentially dominated every racing series they've entered after a few years' experience

    Is eurosport the best?

By a mile. If BBC don't get Moody, Ryder and Mamola next year, I'm watching the racing on RTE. Parrish and Cox are irritating. Suzi perry is a damned fool and is only in the job because she's slightly attractive. It's actually cringeworthy to see her trying to flirt with the Ducati lads and James Toseland.

Go Rossi! Go Rossi! Go Rossi! Go Rossi! Go Rossi! Go Rossi Go Rossi!

There is no doubt Rossi will win this years title.

He could have had the Ducati next year but again turned them down to prove he could do it again on the Yamaha and prove to himself and his team it's still a winning machine.

Stoner would not have won last years title if it wasn't for the Ducati. He wouldn't have come so far this year without it and now the pressure is on he has lost his game for sure. He will never be the champion Rossi is.

In Laguna Seca Stoner didn't have the skill to bring it to the end and lost his nerve under pressure, in Brno again he crashed out as soon as he saw Rossi was closing the gap and again this week Rossi was behind him putting the pressure. Rossi thrives on pressure and there is the difference.

Lets not forget Pedrosa who only has a 2 point gap behind Stoner, he is in with just as much as a shot as Stoner to take Rossi on. It is disappointing though how he decided this week to finish out the year on Bridgestones. He is quite shallow and shows he has no loyalty. How can he justify blaming the tyres for poor performance when Lorenzo did so well this week and earlier in the season when he was fitter on Michelins. Pedrosa behaves like a spoiled child. If it's not going his way he throws the doll out of the cot and blames everybody but himself. I supposed that's why he is so suited to Honda.

I believe Rossi will win the championship for sure and I also believe he deserves to win it moreso than any other rider this year. He wins well, loses well, races well and learns well. All the characteristics of a true champion and no other rider in the current Moto GP class can match these qualities. After Rossi it will be a long time before we see another equally matched champion. Lets enjoy it while it lasts.

    Go Rossi!

Just watched the race today after being at festival land away from the real world for the weekend. Stoner really has lost it, definitely Rossi's to lose at this stage and he's far too experienced and just plane brilliant to let that happen.

I think its proven that Ducati have the best bike, power-wise anyway, Stoner just has to learn from this year to fulfill his potential. I think Rossi stayed with Yamaha for the same reason he joined them in the first place, to prove to people that the rider is just as important a factor, if not more of a factor, in winning at the highest level and he feels that Ducati are to much like Honda in that sense.

Just also to get peoples reaction to this news ,which i only discovered today, that Eurosport will not have moto gp next season as the rights people want to focus on free-to-air channels in individual countries. This is terrible news as it will leave us with rte's sometime coverage with the blundering idiot peter collins at the helm or the second rate crap fed to us by the bbc. Eurosports commentary is sublime and they show all three classes, its a shame that its gone after this season and i for one don't know what I'll do without it!

    VALE!VALE!VALE!:D

Toby, Julian and Randy are a big part of the entertainment during a MotoGP session and they will be sadly missed.

RTE's commentary is painful to listen to as the commentator sounds like he is reading from a badly prepared speech. Any chance any of the UK channels will pick up the 3 guys for their commentary? Hopefully they will get a contract somewhere as they cannot be matched.

I hope so they really are spot on with their coverage and knowledge of not just motor-sport but moto gp specifically.

The bridgestone thing was repsol's decision, apparently.

Pedrosa had requested the tyre change before Brno to the HRC team as he felt the tyres weren't working for him. After Brno he went into talks with HRC and his sponsors to change the tyres and then they jointly decided to make the change. He initiated the change. Let's see how he gets on although he has tested them already and seems pretty happy with them.

TBH I just don't like Pedrosa as a rider or Honda as a team. I know he feels he has a shot at the title but I feel he is just shallow. He can have all the tyres he wants but he'll always be a sore loser.

    http://www.crash.net/motorsport/motogp/news/168392-0/repsol_demanded_pedrosa_tyre_change.html

According to the above it seems that it was repsol's leverage that brought it about, (although crash.net may sometimes play things up a bit). It wouldn't do for a big spanish company to have its hotshot spanish rider struggling to finish in the top 5. Notice that Nicky didn't have the option, it just goes to show the support he's getting from HRC and Repsol. They don't deserve to win **** the way they're all behaving.

See attached link - This is just one of the many reports on various Moto GP related sites stating Pedrosa instigated the tyre change.

Either way, the deed is done and there is no going back for the team. This could go either way in the future for Honda. It could show all involved with their team they accept nothing but A1 performance and will drop you if that ain't happening or it could go the other way with sponsors and any body involved with Honda to know they cannot be trusted and investing in other teams would be more secure.

It's still shocking though and it's very bad taste full stop.

Can't wait 'til Indianapolis - Question is now, will Dani bring it?

I hope Hayden beats Dani's ass in every single remaining GP... that would be SWEET!

Hayden was interviewed by Mammola at the end of the last GP and he said he didn't want to change the tyres... He's probably not going to say anything else really but I think he's quite a loyal rider. He always comes across as an honest guy. If interviewed after a race, he'll say exactly what happened with no B.S. If things go tits up for him he never blames the team or the tyres or anything else... he'll just say something like "Oh we just didn't have it today". I like him.

    +1

When Hayden first starting riding in Moto GP class he was so arrogant and I did not like him at all. After a couple of years he has humbled a lot. I now think he is great and would love to see him kick Danis a$$! It'll be an interesting few weeks to the end of the season.

Only solution - you have to leave the caravan & find the nearest tv.

The Moto GP is on at 8pm our time Sunday night so you have loads of time to get to a tv.:p

It'll be interesting to see who will be taking Haydens place at Honda next year. Also, it'll be interesting to see how Hayden gets on with his new team

No problem tyreman, i'd ookmark the pages anyways for future sporting or tv events no matter what, these are probably the best streaming channels around:)

Fingrers crossed the race wo't be as wet as practice was!

    So Rossi got Pole!
Stoner feels the pressure already I'm sure!
Well done Lorenzo, It'll be an interesting race. I can't wait!

And let's not forget Pedrossa who qualified in 8th position.... Those tyres are doing him all the justice he deserves for abandoning Michelin mid season. Good Luck Dani, you'll need it. What will be the next lame excuse for poor performance when he can't blame the tyres?
