Is there a free* IP address locator that actually works? Link? *Not a site or programme that is free for a trial period (followed by a purchase or subscription if you continue to use it).

These 'IP locater' programs are all bs if you ask me. They all do the same thing, perform a DNS query with RIPE or something like that. Just go to

http://member.dnsstuff.com/pages/tools.php?ptype=free

and use that, no need to install anything. By looking at the results, you can figure out quickly, what part of the country they're in, and other information.

www.nwtools.com is 100% free and works fine
