Anyone listening to TodayFm at the moment knows Cathy Davey's standing in for Tom Dunne, as have a few others over the past while. Now while I really like Cathy Davey ;) and her music, some of the stuff she's been playing today is dire (her chosen songs). There were a couple of times I was about to turn off the station when thankfully the song ended. She's just thrown in some songs she likes into the list they gave her, she's even being saying she doesn't know some of the bands she's playing :P. I'm just bitchin because I don't think the stuff she's plugged in fits what they're playing.

On that note, the guy on yesterday didn't have a much better playlist either, although it wasn't as bad. I like to relax when listening to the show, not cringe. So looking forward to Curtis! Are all the feckin todayfm staff away?

The "Guy on yesterday" was actor/comedian/broadcaster Gary Cooke of 'Apres Match' and 'Rock Rivals' "fame", and I thought he did mighty fine. (Considering he made a point of announcing that his playlist had been bastardised by the ad-hoc producer) :D

Yeah I kinda got that impression alright... the 3rd or 4th song he played was by the Kings of Leon, and he introduced it by saying he'd never heard them before.

I don't know, I thought her choice of music was quite refreshing and she wasn't afraid to stray away from the more mainstream "atlernative" selection.
