    Anyone ever been?

It's an annual tomato throwing festival (:p) just outside Valencia in Spain happening next Wednesday. I'm going along and hoping to get some good shots but fairly worried about my camera getting destroyed in the cross fire. So, any suggestions on how to protect it? Rain hood? Plastic bag around the body?

There's bound to be some great shots at an event like this...

That program the gadget show (channle 5 uk) had a challenge to go out to this and film it i wouldn't recommend going any where near it with a camera!

Aye, looks like the camera will have to be left in the hotel for this one :(

You never know though I might try get a few shots before and after and leave it in a plastic bag during the actual fight, hmmm. Bit risky, but then again that's why I have a camera isn't it, to take photos. Arghhh, dilemma...

On another note, anyone been to Valencia? Any recommendations on where to shoot? I'm staying beside The Hemisferic so no doubt I'll get some decent shots there - I hope!

I was at this last year, all the DSLR shooters had their cameras COVERED in plastic bags and electrical tape along with lens hoods and filters.

I'd recommend doing the same if you want some photos, it gets messy, particularly messy in the streets and there's a lot of jostling.
