Garda Recruitment - Appeal

Hey I've been following the boards for awhile and found them very helpful when applying for the Gardai.

I applied for the Gardai 4 times and the last one was in May 08 campaign and I got to stage 2 but didn't pass it. I've gotten to the interview everytime and never passed it.

Each time I request feedback, which takes nearly 3 months to receive, and each time I narrowly missed out. For example getting 18 points out of the pass mark of 20 in the competency "preparing to achieve high standards". (oct 07)

I'm just wondering if anyone has every appealed their results and if they were succesful? Is it worth even appealing?

    Cheers

May I ask who you've requested a feedback from?

How long did it take? I've asked for one about.. 6 months ago. Heard nothing.

Sorry to hear about failing again. If you are gonna apply again id recommend one of those preparation courses for the interview. it would be an advantage for you coz u will know what they are talking about and can see where you went wrong and how to avoid the mistakes again.

    +1
I would never have passed the interview without it.
