Blackberry Pearl - turning off data services

I have a Blackberry Pearl that I've been using for email etc. for the past while. Have no need for the email functionality any more, so I want to turn this function off (so I can save on €20+ I pay O2 for this package). However, I'd like to keep the Browser functionality that I use from time-to-time (on a pay as I use basis).

Is there any way to turn off the email function but keep the browser functionality. As far as I can work out, it's all or nothing on the phone (i.e. by turning off data services in the Network option).
