Are you at NUIG doing Classic civ or History?

All levels 1st,2nd,3rd, lessons available. Can always meet you in uni anytime. Am on student union tutor list also.

I know it can be tough and exspensive so my rate is not too high.
I got a young lady through exams this summer, who a)never went to a lecture - madness i know and would not advise it, and b) never went near a tutorial - again crazy, needless to say she failed, but, i saw her five times for an hour and got her through all repeats - all passed.

If you think i can help, let me know.

p.s i cannot do the work for you, but i can tell you in simple terms what you need to study most and how you need to word your exams, papers etc

Actually that is plagerism, and constitutes an automatic fail. suprised she was not found out - oh and i have it on good authority, many lectureres come on this site

Cheated/Plagarised, how many hairs do you want to split? Its often not found out if it didn't obviously come off a website. Lecturers plagarise too.

well your friend should be very proud of herself, shes wasted her education. she didn't fail yes, but she knew she couldn't pass on her own so she cheated to pass.

if lectureres plagarised they would be drummed out. sorry, i cannot agree with that at all, what proof do you have?
if you mean they use quotes or texts, yes, however, they are obliged to quote and name their source in foot or end notes, as is everyone who writes.

just wondering what degree level, hdips or teaching experience you hold to tutor in these subjects?

I'm well aware of how lectures use quotes and texts, but thank you for the supremely patronising attitude, do you use that same attitude with your students? I'm not telling you what degree I have, after the above you will probably turn your nose up at it anyway.

oh dear, you can make sweeping and damaging statements like "lectureres plagarise" and that you will "undercut" everyone for tutoring, but you will not:
    a) give any proof of plagarism
    or
    b) state your credentials for teaching.

then you get this throwing all your toys out of the pram tone, and question MY attitute. Err thoughts of kettle, pot and black come to my mind.

ps the article link you put up by Jessica Shepherd of the Guardian, says investigations are happening into some academics in certain parts of the world, it also says, allegations are not all proven and that staff already accused of plagarism are finding legal ground to appeal, and 'unintentional rules' have applied in cases that were not upheld.

one expert on this artical claims it is virtually impossible to proove, which is my point.

Like all walks of life, there maybe one or two bad apples in the bunch, but one cannot make such a sweeping statement as to imply all lectureres plagarise.

As i already said, You have not offered proof to back up your opinion, you have simply put up a link for someone else's opinion on a journalistic artical, which is of course subjective.

The artical you give a link for is not current, it is a year old. Therefore it could have been rewriten, edited or corrected, added to detracted from etc....dare i say, and even plagiarised by now!
