Getting into a Teaching position in Children's Hospitals

Really haven't a clue where to post this question, so I hope its in the right forum!
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone out there knows how you get into a teaching position in Hospitals. I remember reading on the Newspaper a couple of weeks ago how hospitals now have full-time schools (its just a room or 2 in the hospital) so that children that are ill don't miss out on any work.
Does anyone know if these jobs are advertised just like any other teaching position? For example on educationposts.ie or The Indo?

at a guess i would say just drop in a CV to any hospital you are interested
in working in and if you could get some voluntary experience working in a setting like that or even giving tuition to a student sick at home that would look great on your CV because there can't be that many with that sort of experience. don't forget to get your garda vetting sorted out in case you get called in subbing at short notice. hospital teachers get sick too :D

Thanks for the replies. Good thinking about trying to get experience tutoring an ill child, thanks for that :)

J.R., I know the jobs would have to be advertised in the same way any job has to be. Maybe I should have phrased my question better, sorry. I meant, are they advertised under the same section as all other Primary Teaching positions? Or under the Health section or something? Because I check the Indo etc, regularly out of curiosity and have never saw any advertised.
