    hey folks

im sure ya's are fed up with these kinda threads, but getting well confused reading different opinions all over the internet.

ok i've got about 600-900 to spend,my favourite to date, and the one i keep resorting back to is the dell 15inch studio

now i want a good solid laptop,no cutting corners if ya get me!something that works quick and is strong.

ill be using it for internet, college stuff(ie word and excel and powerpoint),itunes, and for watching dvds and listening and storing music.

the kind of specs im looking at are

    Processor

    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8100 (2.1 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 3 MB L2 Cache,)

    Monitors/Displays

    15.4" Wide Screen WXGA (1280 x 800) Display with TrueLife™

    Video Cards

256MB ATI Mobility RADEON HD 3450

    Memory

    4096MB 667MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM [2x2048]

    Hard Drives

    320GB (5.400rpm) SATA Hard Drive

i just want to know am i on the ball? or am i miles off?should i be going for a better processor, maybe less ram,or wat?

    many thanks in advance

    thanks.
    paul

Maybe get a smaller hdd and buy an external hdd instead, that way you'll have your music on the external hdd when you get a new laptop etc. Also means you can get music from others pc's.

    Just an idea.
