    Hi

Can someone here who is used to invoicing newspapers for photos used please give me some tips/pointers on how to invoice a paper for photo usage.

If you can, can you PM me a sample invoice that you use as well as payment methods. I can give you my email address if that suits better.

Also, who do you send it to at the paper. Is it accounts? Or the photodesk? Or where you sent the photo to? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Came home this evening to find a cheque in the post for my Brighton pics! :D

I emailed a pretty standard invoice to the Deputy Sports Ed (as he was the one I was dealing with mostly). Included all my own details, event I covered, date, what pics I sent them, referenced the two guys I had been dealing with and of course the price.

Also, what do you charge for a published 2" x 3" pic in a national newspaper?

    The size doesn't matter.
The papers will crop & resize images anyway.
They will have a set price for images.
Contact the picture desk to ask.
