It is Sesame Street type material OK, particularly in terms of content for the converted.... However it is not a bad idea to make videos on particular aspects of "greenness" to get a point across.

www.sei.ie could make videos on topics such as home insulation, solar energy, transportation choices, energy saving, passive houses, etc and host them free on vimeo.com or dailymotion.com (better quality pic than youtube.com) - linking to them from the sei.ie website. An HD video camera can be bought for €1,000 or less today.

If a picture is worth a thousand words, a video could be worth a million?

People who have done green things with their homes could do similar (even using just a good camera phone) to show others how it worked and how it looks when done.

Agree fully. The presentation was slick in style and delivery, pleasantly chunky, and it got the message across pretty well. As a model for public info 'casts for green retrofitting etc its a great medium.

I'm curious how you feel on the phrase 'oil addiction'; think its a good linkage to make, conceptually? Wasn't explicit in the video.
