    Hi all,

I saw online some one had installed a mac os theme for their Ubuntu setup so I thought I'd have a go.

I installed all the Mac4Lin stuff and it looks good.

My problem however is with the Awn toolbar, anyone here familiar with this

I dragged and dropped my desktop icons onto it and they worked great untill i re-booted and they were gone. Not onlythat but the toolbar doesn't boot automatically and I cand find the button to click to do that.

As ever all help is gratefully recieved

Go System -> Preferences -> Sessions . Here you can specify whatever programs you want to start on bootup. You enter whatever command you would use to start the program from the command line. In this case avant-window-navigator

To get the dock to start when you boot up, go to

    system->preferences-> sessions

    The sessions dialog box opens.

    Click Add

Set the name as Avant Window Navigator and command as
    "avant-window-navigator" (without the inverted commas).

Click ok,close the sessions dialog box and logout.
Log back in and your dock should be there.

    Edit:stereo_steve beat me to it.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the advice it all worked well.

As for the disapearing launchers turns out if you at a launcher from the desktop and then delete the desktop version you lose the AWN version too, so I had to manually add them.

Is it possible to add system functions like trash, lock, shutdown etc?

    Many thanks
