TV powers up in black and white

    Hi,
    I have a Philips TV, model 14pt1563/07 that now powers up in black and white, I had given it on loan to someone to check the reception in their area, now since getting it back it only powers up in black and white, the colour has to be manually adjusted with the remote every time,
    Has anyone any idea how to hold the colour settings when they are changed, to be saved through a power down. I think it must be something on the remote or could it be a component problem on the telly.
