Ive always found their mentality strange. I still do.

When David Trimble described the Republic as a 'Mono Ethnic, Mono Cultural, Pathetic State' all you could do was laugh - this coming from someone from Northern Ireland! - but we found out the real reason or at least I did - they are afraid to govern themselves. They are afraid of breaking from UK largese. They are scared. They are leeches - as Harold Wilson once described - spongers. They leech off the UK cause it makes them feel good about themselves and big. This despite the fact alot of the UK hold them in contempt and really dont like them. They cost the UK a lot of dosh.


Is this a fair discription? Its the only conclusion possible IMO.

perhaps ur saying they have an "Identity" crisis, because they consider themselves "British" but the Island of Britain is east of Ireland. Perhaps Northern Irish? But i think they would have issue with that as well since they dont consider themselves "Irish".
