Bassist Required for New Project

Hi myself and my musical comrade (guitarist) of three years are looking to start something new and hopefully different (but whatever is these days???) with a like minded (or any minded bassist!).

We are based in South Dublin and have our own area for practicing but don't mind trekking to a rehearsal in Dublin for starting out. We are looking to start a new band project that would concentrate on writing our own material but would be totally open to playing covers for use in getting gigs.
We've both played in bands in the past myself (drummer) in metal and grunge style bands, my buddy in random progressive style bands. Together we play a lot of random stuff from blues to funk to acoustic to hiphop.
We have a fairly tight set of acoustic covers of random pop songs, that have just the right amount of individual touch that could always be sweetened with a bit of bass, but our main interest is in something a little more modern, with influences in hard rock and blues, but with a nice degree of electronics and effects (effects are always fun, the more the merrier in my eye).
Guitarist sings and plays piano and synths, I myself am a drummer (who dabbles, very slightly in guitar and bass, but just for kicks).

I don't wanna put down a list of influences because everbodys taste in music is different and when you mix tastes you get new flavours!

We're both in our early twenties and are open to pretty much anyone up for a jam.
We do enjoy a good improv so if anyone is up for a jam drop me a line and we can set something up.

mail me at susswald@hotmail.com and we'll set up a jam
(sorry but don't wanna put my number on an open forum)
