Two police have suffered severe shock in what the PSNI say was a rocket attack in Co Fermanagh last night.
Police are treating the incident on the main street of Lisnaskea as attempted murder.
Three police were on foot patrol at around 11pm last night. The PSNI say a rocket propelled grenade was fired at them but failed to explode.

Two of the policemen were taken to hospital where one, a female, was treated for minor injuries, and the other for shock.
A short time later a car was found burning at Chapel Brae in the town and police are investigating the possibility of a link.
A number of houses in the town have been evacuated and British Army bomb experts are examining the scene.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the attack but recently the Chief Constable warned that the threat from dissident republicans remained high in certain parts of the North.
PSNI Chief Superintendent Michael Skuce described the attack as 'callous'.
He said police could have been dealing with multiple casualties this morning and the devastation that would have caused throughout the community.
'There are a number of families out there who will be counting their blessings that they are not grieving for a loved one,' he said.
'The disregard that this shows for the lives of the local community and my officers is unbelievable.'
The road has been closed and the security operation with police and British army bomb experts is continuing.
There have been several search operations and arrests in recent days linked to dissident republicans.

That's the good thing about older rocket propelled grenades - they fail to explode if they don't hit the target at the right distance.

I know the point your trying to make Zzoop, but there is no good thing about RPG's. I hope the Political climate is not going to change because we had all moved foward. It will not deter my application only make the desire stronger, guys like Ive said before... Security should be a priority here, but dont let attacks deter anyone.

    Well thats refreshing to know....

You cant even draw your gun from it's holster whilst on duty without a full probe by the Police Ombudsman, so I would try to avoid shooting people if you get in....It's not worth the paperwork:rolleyes:

Yeah, true - I should have worded that a bit differently! Appologies!

The good thing in the story was that no one was seriously hurt.

Very stupid individuals who did this. These people need to wise up as it is not what the majority of the country want north and south. Get well soon to the officers in question!!!!:)
