The "Thank this poster" feature is something I've found to be a very nice extra - gives some extra depths to some debates.

I use it when I find a post I strongly agree with or is well put. I have also recieved a few thanks on posts as well.

However, there are times when I see people posting absolute ****e, contributing little or nothing to debate, sometimes behaviour that I find disagreeable, but not serious enough to report. Borderline trolling etc. On very rare occasions, I find people genuinely interested in debate, but miles off the mark.

For these posts, I would like to see an opposite of the "Thank this poster" function - something to show disapproval for a post.

It's been said a lot of times now that something like that won't be introduced.

Exactly it would be nothing more than the same principle of the Rep system.

    The Rep system?

Oh and if it's been said many times that this will not happen, then it must be a very popular request.
It just seems kinda unbalanced to me that you can +1 good posts but do nothing about useless ones.

The rep system was away of awarding positive or negative rep to posters. The negative rep part of it was abused and turned out to be more hassle than it was worth so it got removed (there's more info on the biki but it seems to be down at the moment). Thanks doesn't have a negative part (chide or fault in this case) to it so it doesn't suffer the same problems as rep. If it did have a chide feature I'd imagine it wouldn't have been implemented or wouldn't have lasted very long if it was implemented.

    Fair enough.

Report post, tbh. Let the mods deal with it.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
