    Diabetes- it's not a good day when you're told you've got that. Is he very upset? At least it's more manageable these days.

    Diabetes- it's not a good day when you're told you've got that. Is he very upset? At least it's more manageable these days.

    well i havent seen him yet, a mutual friend told me a few minutes ago

    May not necessairily be due to weight. In fact, at this age, in probably isn't.
    It could be Insulin resistance or even MODY (mature onset diabetes in youth).
    I'd say genetics are far more likely to be responsible for this.

    OP, how's your friend finding all this?

    I remember the orange. I actually had fun with that. That may have been due to the fact that no-one told me I was next. :(
