    What's your excuse?

For me, it's a bit awkward travelling up from Cork, especially when I don't know anyone. I'm also not too great meeting people and would probably just sit in a corner for myself the whole night.
And on top of all that I'm going to Wexford tomorrow!

I promise I'll go to a future beers though.*

So how about the rest of ye?

    *not a promise

Well Squarey, seeing as it's clear I've chosen the 'atari jaguar' option cos it's only the two of us who've posted so far, I'm not there cos I've got a pre-op for laser eye surgery early tomorrow morning. Thought it might not be such a good idea to turn up with two big bloodshot eyes hanging out of my head :p Wish I was there though, I've never been to a beers before, was looking forward to this one :(

I am from cork also. Maybe I will go up to one next year when I live in dublin.

Same here, I am afraid. Got a call from my boss to finish off a script we are working on. I would have loved to have gone but deadlines have to be met I'm afraid. Going to put on some very loud music and have a bottle of beer soon.

Thanks! I'm just crossing my fingers that they'll say I'm suitable for Lasik so I can have it done over the weekend and not take any time off work. If not I'll be off for 5 days and I'll have to use up my holidays cos it's elective surgery.

    What's your excuse?
I WAS at the beers, but due to being an awkward fuc*er when placed around a large group i dont know, i tend to revert back into my shell, get ignored as i cant talk bullsh*t as i dont drink and thats exactly why i am here posting this, and not still in Eamo D's...

I had most fun on the way in, watching the cops arrest a guy rollerblading through temple bar in the nude, with only a plastic bag in his hand:pac:

Future beers may be a no-no for me, no point when i cant enjoy myself:(

You actually do revert into your shel!!! The thing with these beers is that people hang out with "friends" i always try to talk to everyone all night long, cause it's all about meeting people.

The next beers i arrange, you are so coming!!!!!:D

I have love/hate thing with bouncers .The ones who dont talk and are able to control everybody in the right fashion will be the one that will help you out in the middle of the night. These guys dont have to act hard ,they know it.

The ones that are condesending seem to let sh** happen and then come in acting the hard man, when all the damage is done.

    Worst bouncers in my town.
Some pretty good ones in london.

But...but...you WERE both fighting supervillains. I seen this shady character hanging around the temple bar area during the night:

The beer would have to be awfully grand to justify a 20,000 kms round trip, don't ye think? Then again, the company was probably good.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,031 ✭✭✭Lockstep

    I'm in Galway.

HEading up to Dublin would be too much hassle, I'm fairly lazy.
Also don't tend to meet people off the internet.
