I hope I have done this correctly. here are some pictures of vintage Jaguars racing in Goodwood recently. I have kept them small. The Bark off the modern apex xkr going down the main straight was awesome. Made my hair stand on end.

oops didn't mean to start a new thread, here is some bigger pics. Bigger is better. I have no idea if anyone is interested in these I'll post a few more later. I have no idea why the wrecked e type was there it didn't happen on the weekend, and it was mounted on a frame, maybe a famous crash.

The wrecked E-Type was a Coombs lightweight E-Type which was driven by both Graham Hill and Jackie Stewart in 1963 / 1964 and was competing with the highly sucessful Ferrari 250 GTO's at the time in various GT races.

Not sure who crashed it or when..

Photo of the cat at the time..

excellent thanks for that, there was so much to see and so little time, some detail was missed. never was a fan of the e type lightweight just looks wrong the proportions are off. especially from the rear. excellent racer though.

No problem. I knew the reg was familiar when I saw the pic..

I haven't been to Goodwood yet - hopefully over the next year or two. I have heard its a magnificent show. I had planned to go this year and even oped out of going to Techno Classica in Essen with a view to going to Goodwood but I had too much on at the time..

Goodwood is steeped in history you can feel it when u walk in, even if there was nothing on. The super shell building is there, and you can't beat the british for heritage. A jaguar standing still is a sight to see, but one thundering around Goodwood in the rain gives/ gave me goosepimples.

I wish i had more time there as there are air museums etc.
