Anybody use a MXR dynacomp or supecomp? Or any other compressor recommendations?

Just looking for a decent, simple compressor, not looking for super-expensive keeley type stuff, just a mid-range, quality pedal... any opinions/recommends?

I have an Orange Squeezer clone, very very nice! It's very easy to use, just two knobs.

It's sparkly blue also. :) Cost me around €100 shipped. I can send you the details of where I got it if you want.

If i had a sense of humour, i would suggest the Boss one......no, that's not even funny......it's a shocker.

Check out some of these http://stores.ebay.com/TunnelVision-Music-com-Store_Compressor-Pedals

The mid priced range pedals might change the tone a bit too much for your liking. No point spending a fortune on great guitars and amps, if you use a tone sucker, is there.

I was looking for one too and a ISP Decimator.
Don't know wether to go for a Keeley, DBX 166XL or a TC Electronic G Major and use the noise gate and compressor on it with all the effects too......

Darren, The ISP Decimator is a noise reduction pedal, not a compressor!

    I know.....i want/need one of those and a compressor. That's 2 different yokes.

Just wondering if i could kill 2 birds with one solo and buy a DBX 166XL or the G Major with as good results as the Keeley compressor and ISP noise gate together.

mmm it may be a little but i think it would be aok to use really

the g majors effects are less superior than the g force or g system

There is, and a very good one, loads of paramters on it.

But im not using the g-major so much any more, and I have a little pedalboard going, just a few pedals, nothing big or fancy. Mostly I was using the G-major for delay, and I have a little MXR delay now.

And also, the G-major is in the effects loop, whereas I prefer a compressor up front of the amp.
