Paper log maker for wood shreddings?

Hi all. Just wondering if i can use one of these paper log makers to make briquettes out of tree branches if i shred them? Any feedback or personal experience would be very appreciated:)

You'd need to dry them first too otherwise all you'll be making is smoke (and creosote!).
