Not sure if it's in right forum but obviously I'll chance my arm for here.
8am is an early start if your walking up to it from the Ilac and especially if you take a wrong turn!
Most people were on time and Marcus handed out the much vaunted name tags which I proceeded to lose my one within 5 minutes in an area smaller than a Council flats back balconey. :o (I also lost my goodies pack!)
I got to admit was simply over rawed by the amount of firepower the majority of people had....met up again with my mentor Keith Jack aka BorderFox and had a nice natter with a few people whose name escapes me except Brad Nailer and Jason.
My pics are only a very VERY basic taste of what's to come from the others, it was so interesting watching these in action and the time they took at each possible subject they were about to take on, tripods were slapped up in any area and position.
Didn't realise how lucky we were because of the space we had but I had to leave at 10am and the general public were on the way in and wow there were billions of them! I can now appreciate the pre public time we had in the Storehouse.
Thanks go to Marcus who genuinely is a nice guy and the Female manager who while at 1st seemed a bit rigid did mellow out, especially after I asked her some down to earth questions. :)
Overall Guinness Storehouse is good if your into that type of thing, not really for me then again most things are not......glad I went though.
I left after brekkie for a few pints of Bulmers b4 the Arsenal game at 12.45!

    Start!

Yep, thanks to Marcus and pix.ie and Lisa Fitzsimons from the Guinness Storehouse, great opportunity to photograph in the Storehouse - bring 'em on (again) Marcus. I have a suspicion there might be a flurry of Guinness coloured images ...

Had a nice time! Wasn't really in the zone, though. For me, taking the photos felt very contrived..

Great day, I really enjoyed the whole experience. Many thanks to Lisa Fitzsimons and the Guinness Storehouse for opening up early and giving us an opportunity to take pictures before the public got in.

When the lift doors opened an we entered the empty Gravity Bar, it was a "wow" moment and looking at the full size version of this shot gives you some idea of that: http://pix.ie/keithjack/636495/size/0 - Really captures the spirit of the whole day for me! Brilliant.

Loads more photos have been uploaded to the group since yesterday: http://pix.ie/group/guinness-storehouse-share-your-experience-photo-competition/photos

Thanks to all those who made it down and especially thanks to the Guinness Storehouse for opening up especially for us and giving us this unique opportunity.

Thanks Marcus, it was an excellent opportunity to get some more panoramic shots of the view of Dublin. I had been talking to a friend who does wedding videos and had worked at a wedding in the Gravity bar, what a venue!!

Great to put some faces on the pix.ie nick for people. Thanks to Marcus at pix.ie and Lisa at the Storehouse for looking after us. The pre-opening time was great to have and while the atmosphere got busier as the morning progressed, I think some of the best shots i've seen thus far have come from that 'quiet' time of the morning. Well done everyone.

    I've processed some with more to do but here's a sample of the better ones;

Some great shots there AnCatDubh, I would agree that the best shots came from the ability to ramble about when it is empty and soak up the atmosphere of the Storehouse.

Looking forward to seeing more of it.

I wasn't able to make it, took a booking for a fashion shoot yesterday morning and a charity event last night. All the same, a big thanks for Pix.ie, incredibly generous of you :)
