Click here for the updated information
    http://www.aovc.co.uk/index.php?Events_Listing:Kilbroney_2000_Show
Entries will still be accepted on the day.
Word of warning: The show is on grass in Kilbroney Forest Park. It was cancelled last year following heavy rain. I understand a decision will be taken early next week, but there will be a posting on the AOVC website, and probably on this forum if there is a change.

Please note the following message from Secretary, Association of Old Vehicle Clubs in Northern Ireland .

Re Kilbroney 2000 Old Vehicle Rally Saturday 6th September.

Possibly you will have heard in The News of the flooding in the village of Rostrevor and neighbouring Warrenpoint last week and severe flooding there over the week-end.

We had a site meeting in the Park last Wednesday and another this afternoon and at this the Council who are the Park owners and overall organisers of Kilbroney 2000 have reluctantly had to decide to CANCEL the event this year.

With having 998 entries so far this is a huge disappointment to all concerned.

We have looked at alternative venues or another date but these are not viable options. We now have the mammoth task of notifying every entrant and trader that there will be no Kilbroney Event this year.

There are a great many of us around who had prepaid for last year. After a lot of deliberation they asked us all to carry forward to this year. Now we are in the same position again. Expect we will hear something in the next few weeks

Yeah well I was the same, I prepaid last year, but I didn't recieve the entry with the bar code, so I pre-paid again this time !

At this stage I want a refund as I wont be going next year for various reasons.

    Hi Guys,

As far as I know this show was cancelled yesterday by the organisers, it had 998 cars pre booked and trade stands etc. Awful shame as it is a good drive to the show and the show is great too as you get to see alot of cars that dont make it to the rest of Ireland too often.

    Regards,
    Triumphs.

Pity the club couldn't find a village / seaside town with enough space on tarmac to organise an alternative event. That park has had wet ground problems before , better to move to a new location for future events to avoid disappoitment in the future ???
