Just thought I'd make this post to complain at how astonishingly bad these latest drivers are, I could play a game for a while, try another game then get the dreaded "Display Driver nvlddmkm stopped responding, has successfully recovered", I am using Vista Ultimate x64 specs in my sig. Now even Nvidias drivers for the Release Candidate versions of vista didnt crash as much for me! From testing it appears the 169.44 drivers are Nvidias only really stable drivers for most users, There is a massive discussion over at Guru3D concerning this HERE. Now I find aswell as I'd say other users expieriencing this thats its an absolute disgrace that we invest good money into these video cards and get this rubbish support thrown back at us, never in the past have I expierienced such problems with Nvidia cards and tbh I'm just fed up now, roll on a working driver maybe nvidia

These 177.89 drivers HERE seem to solve the "Display has stopped responding error for me, they also seem to get very good fps in the games I've tried, plus support physx and Open GL 3 :), I'll report back if they screw up later on :D

Have had issues with more modern Nvidia drivers for my 8800GTS 320mb.

An older driver worked for me no issues, however anytime I "upgraded" the driver I got blue screens.

Still I managed to solve the issue, I bought a 4870 this week :-)

Can't be arsed sticking with the 8800GTS if the driver support isn't there and I got a 22" a while so back to the red team with me.

Agreed Nvidia driver support lately for the 8800gts 320meg is brutal, I would take the plunge and upgrade to the 4870 if there were any games out lately worth playing! Its a pity but later I'll prob consider upgrading alrite,

Yeah it's a bit wasteful moving from a 8800GTS 320mb now, there is still plenty of life left in the card and I have had the card for only a year and I could drag the arse out of it for another few months and get acceptable performance in games out of it but I really am sick of random blue screens casued by rubbish Nvidia drivers.

I just want new games to run hassle free and I don't want the situation where I have to upgrade the working driver for the 8800GTS to a borked one to get a new game semi working with random blue screening thrown in for good measure.
