i think trap guns a heavier/longer then game guns. that would be a consideration when you out trapping through ploughed fields, other then that no difference.

Never heard of em Steve, could be a good thing (Above my pay grade :( )

A trap gun will be heavy for sure but as long as you like it and it goes bang then I wouldn't be too worried

I suppose reports of reliability would be good to hear though

yeah i have been looking at one there today, is longer but it has a 1 and 1/2 inch rubber extension at the end of the stock that could be removed. seems to be a nice gun and looks to cost me about €300. i was just thinking it would be a nice second shotgun to have or even good for the ducks or a days decoying. i already have a nice new lumar scirocco since last year. are you familiar with the antonio zoli make?

yep it seems a nice good solid shooter so it does. a little umcomfortable though, but i think if i take that 1 and 1/2 inch rubber add on to the stock and get a slightly smaller one it might fit slightly better.

no experience of that make myself. if you like it and you have the bread, treat yourself. why not. zoli sounds italian and they make decent guns.

Afaik they are quite an expensive gun. Might be worth bearing in mind that a trap guns point of aim will be higher than a field gun by a good margin so could take a while to get used to.

thanks. yeah i help it up to my shoulderand i find there is a slight difference in aiming, but feck it i think i might go for it. i think i might get rid of my lockvogel caller that i spent €250 and have used about three times! that will fund it.

    Steve

A trap stock has a higher stock configuration (Drop at comb & DAH) than a field stock and is set up for rising, going away targets. If you like to float your targets or birds and not cover them it may work for you but if you like to cover them in may be an excersise in frustration.

Antonio Zoli is a quality gun. Do you know which model it is, is it a Z gun?

its in perfect nick. he's looking for €350 for well. very well minded gun. only thing i could find wrong with it was he has put his intitials on a little scribed design on the side stockm, but not noticable. nice shooter though. it doesnt get much better than italian hand made i guess.
