Ive an interview for a part-time (weekend) job in a new store. Thing is, i'm away for the 1st week of september. Will this hinder my chances of getting the job? It's a brand new store and they'll be interviewing loads of people so if theres a good few suitable would they use avaliability as a deciding factor? I really really want this job, and i have relevant experience and a good cv, but I don't want to get my hopes up if my holiday is going to ruin it!

It might. I reckon if there are two or three people who are competing for the same job, and there is little seperating you, availability might swing it.

I think if you sell yourself well enough though, you should be able to swing it. I'd start with trying to figure out something which will make yourself stand out from the crowd.
