Right, so woke up this morning to a load of email telling me some cnut had gotten into my gmail account from the IP address 123.11.79.19 (Google keeps track of these) and spammed my whole address book. The IP seems to be from Beijing.

First off what are the odds that this is really where the break in came from? and secondly what can i do to f*ck with this guy using his IP address?

Well the Ip could be dynamically assigned so it might not even be his any more.

There is no much in terms of doing anything to that IP. The only thing you could do is send an abuse complaint to the owner of that IP block, but I wouldn't bet they will get back to you.

Besides that, that IP could be either dynamic or a proxy used by someone else trying to cover up the steps.

Anyway, where did this message come up? In your mail inbox?

Besides dynamic IP, could they also be using Tor? Not only that, what if they had been spamming from a zombie they controlled?
